Facebook is the social media platform that most bloggers and entrepreneurs seem to have a serious love/hate relationship with. One day you’re all about paying for Facebook ads and scheduling content, the next you’re scratching your head wondering if all that extra work is really worth it (hint: it can definitely be worth it, learn how you can use Facebook to get more clients.)
Although Facebook may be evolving, you canĀ definitely still use it as a tool to engage and connect with other people in your industryĀ by joiningĀ FacebookĀ groups. The amount of groups on Facebook can be a little overwhelming, so we’ve put together a list of nineĀ of our favorites that aim to help and encourage entrepreneurs, creatives and bloggers.
But first, what’s the deal with Facebook groups? Why should you join them and what should you expect?
Facebook groups areĀ definitely rising in popularity — and for good reason! Groups are private communities of people involved in the same field. Within these groups, you’re able to ask for feedback, share advice, and connect with people who have similar goals. They’re wonderful community-building tools and can even help youĀ get more clients. But with the heaps of groups out there, how can you tell which ones are best? Here are some of the best ones we’ve come across:

Blog + BizĀ BFFs by The Nectar Collective (*EDIT* Group is closed)
Hey, that’s us! We recently launched a brand new Facebook group so that our community would have a place to hang out together, get support, and offer advice. We’re SO stoked about this. Blog + Biz BFFs is a hub for bloggers and online entrepreneurs who want to learn, grow, and feel support from others. Like our name suggests, it’s a friendly zoneĀ and we hope to cultivate friendships and collaborations among our members. Woop woop!
**EDIT** The Blog + Biz BFFs group has been archived and is no longer in use. We appreciate all of our members very much and hope to connect with everyone in newer and better ways! If you would like to know why I decided to close down the group, you can read my thought process in this blog post.
Facebook groups can be a real hit or miss. I’ve personally joined groups simply for the fact that it had a ton of members, only to find out that less than half were ever really active-or the niche wasn’t what I thought it would be. It can be tempting to join as many as possible, but to truly gain knowledge, readers, and customers, you might want to consider picking 1 or 2 favorites that you can really devote your time to. It’s better to be truly engaged in a few groups than sporadic and inconsistent in a lot of them.
