Alt Summit is a conference aimed at bloggers and designers, so it wasn’t a surprise that each business card I received was a unique piece of art — like a little badge that said so much about the person handing it to me.
As a designer, I love the concept of business cards — that a small piece of paper can be symbolic of an entire business, blog, or human being. Perhaps that’s why it took me so long to design my own cards — I knew I’d be handing out a piece of myself with each one I gave away.
Today I’m sharing some of my favorites, organized by the random ways my brain works. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
White and Simple

Black

Cards that came with gifts

Edge-painted cards

Gold foil cards

Blue and green hues

What’s something you’d include in your own cards?

How fun are these??!?!?!?! I can’t wait to make my own business cards someday. So pretty. 🙂 I think my indecisive self will have a hard time figuring out what exactly I would like out of my business card design…but it would be fun giving it a try!
Yeah!! Definitely post about them when you do — I bet they’d be super cute! 🙂
These are gorgeous! It’s so cool to see what everyone did. Thanks for sharing! The card shaped like a heart is adorable! And I also love the one with the silhouette.
That heart-shaped one is super cute, right? She creates die-cut designs, so it was very fitting for her business! 🙂
So cool! Some people are really really creative, including yourself! I love the simple white ones
I know right?! And I love the simple white ones, too!
I think the kelsie one DEFINITELY stood out the most for me! Very pretty + effective <3

Totally! She also gave out some cute greeting cards she designed!
I love the heart shaped one! I think if I were to make a card at this point, I’d leave an option to clip a hair bow on there since I love them so much!
That is such a good idea! Definitely a good way to remember you by 🙂
There are definitely awesome looking business cards! It’s scary to think about the process of coming up with a card of my own, but I guess the hardwork would be worth it once the eureka moment is hit. If I am more girly than who I am now, I would definitely add a bow (however and whichever style), but chances of me ending up with a simple black-white card is much more higher. Heh.
I struggled with trying to be girly or opting for my usual black and white, too. In the end, my cards were mostly black and white, but they felt very “me” so I was happy! 🙂
I love all of these! I really struggled with my original business card design but these are so inspiring, it makes me want to start all over again and get super creative with them!
It’s so hard designing for yourself! I feel your pain!
Can you tell us what is attached to the card with the beautiful pink and red botanical print (under cards that came with gifts), and who that card was by? It’s so intriguing! Great collection, thanks for sharing!
Absolutely! That one was for Mckenzie of Girl Loves Glam (http://www.girllovesglam.com/) and attached was a cute little “midi” ring 🙂
So much fun! Thanks for the info. Now I feel like my cards need to be accessorized too. 😉
How cool! I love how you organized them. I’m thinking about designing business cards for myself and my blog. I’ve heard they’re good to have for networking purposes, especially for recent grads. Do you think that’s true?
I think they’re helpful! I bought mine specifically before a couple blogging conferences I attended, which is where I handed out a majority of them. But there have definitely been some networking opportunities in my regular life where it was helpful to be able to give someone a business card. I’d say, get ’em! 🙂
wow what a beautiful array of cards! I love the simplicity of the white ones but i also love how the blue/green ones popped! Lots of inspiration for possible business cards to come 🙂
I love the way you displayed these cards! Business cards are super difficult for me, but I do really want them to reflect both myself and my company. This is some awesome inspiration!
New fans of you, very cool letter press business cards, I can agree more with the white ones are the best. Congratulations
So freaking creative and simple! I think I design new cards every year because my blog design changes that often…but I could definitely paint my new ones!!
hehe I think I design new ones every year, too! It’s just fun, isn’t it? 🙂
