Happy Friday! I’ve been working on a lot of new blog and web design projects lately (some of my favorites that I’ve ever created!) and wanted to share a few peeks into what I’ve been up to. Today’s design project was for Audrey, and her cleverly named food blog, Aud Taste. I absolutely loved the bright color palette she wanted and the fact that I got to include some fun lettering in the header. We also included some hand-painted looking details throughout the site — my favorite! You can take a look at some of the final branding materials below. 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend!

  17. Loving the color scheme! And I agree, such a clever blog name 🙂 I also kinda like the blogger’s name too -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

  18. Simone says:

Lovely! I’m such a fan of your hand lettering 🙂

  19. Annie Dornan-Smith says:

I adore the handwritten part – I’m a designer/illustrator too and am super impressed with how crisp it looks – what do you use to transfer your drawings to digital, if you don’t mind me asking. I currently use a DSLR with as good lighting as I can get, or a scanner at uni. x

    • Thank you so much, Annie! You’re going to laugh: I use my iPhone. Since blog designs are at 72 DPI and don’t need to be scaled to larger versions, this works fine for that purpose. For larger designs I’d use my scanner. But if you use your iPhone, I just take a photo in bright natural light, then up the brightness/contrast in Photoshop so that deleting the white paper background is easy. Then, I often use a black Color Overlay on top of the text, to give it a more crisp look. You can reduce the opacity of the color overlay if you’d like a bit of the watercolor effect to show through, too. Hope that helps! 🙂

  20. Pinned! It’s beautiful work. Simple– but very feminine and fun at the same time. If I was going to hire someone, you’d have my business 🙂 I like to figure these things out on my own though- it’s certainly harder than it seems!

  21. Customer Care Numbers says:

awesome design and very- very lovely.this blog is very colorful.I really like it. thanks for share..

  22. I love what you did with this design! It’s beautiful! 🙂

  23. Tiffany says:
