Today I’m excited to share a really fun project that I just added to my portfolio. I’ve been following Chantelle of Fat Mum Slim for quite awhile and always loved her happy, colorful aesthetic. You might know her from her popular Instagram photo challenge, #FMSPhotoADay (which has over 5 million tagged photos? Holy moly!). Last year, she reached out to me to design a pack of hand-drawn clipart for her iPhone app, Little Moments. Ever since, I’ve had the opportunity to help her with all sorts of design projects, from desktop wallpapers for her blog readers to branding for “The Fun Kit.” Most recently, we re-designed her blog and logo and I’m excited to share the final products with you today! 

First, we worked on a new logo for her blog. Chantelle is very personable and creative, so we knew we wanted something hand-written, which felt warm and happy. She’s not a classic cursive kind of gal, so we worked on more quirky hand-lettered designs that have some spunk.

Once we settled on a logo she loved, we moved on to her blog design. I love working with Chantelle because I think we just “get” each other’s sense of design. She loves color and quirkiness and is very fond of hand-drawn elements and special details. I got to do a lot of painting and lettering for this design! So fun.

Lastly, we worked on some additional branding collateral together, such as social media covers and an email signature. You can see her fun looking Facebook cover below.
